It was a gift for his hometown. Henry Ford developed our 18-hole golf course at Outer Drive and Military Street which opened in 1925. With the course designed by Donald Ross and the English-timbered clubhouse designed by renowned architect Albert Kahn, Ford wanted to put Dearborn on par with affluent enclaves like "The Pointes" and "The Hills." But he wanted the golf course open to everyone.

As Dearborn Country Club turns the corner on our centennial, Mr. Ford's vision for the club as a space "for everyone" remains integral to our club identity. From the greens to the pool, golf tournaments to family bingo nights, we aim to provide a local refuge for fun, friendship and camaraderie.
